I’ve been a teacher my entire life.

I’m an Army veteran — Military Police — and I served as a Squad Leader and Patrol Supervisor. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Special Education, and I’m working toward a PhD in Disaster and Trauma Relief.

I’ve been teaching for 16 years — my first four in the Bronx, the last twelve at a New Jersey high school. I’ve also worked as a wellness coach. I’ve coached baseball, basketball, football, and lacrosse, and I played football, basketball, and baseball myself.

I can teach any subject, because it was never really about the subject — it’s about the student. I’ve learned the subjects as I go; mostly I teach Algebra, Physics, and Spanish.

Here’s what drives me: wasted potential is the thing that frustrates me most in this world — in other people, and in myself. By helping others, I become a better version of myself. I relate to the kids I work with because I’m someone who struggles to learn, too. I meet them where they are, with completely no judgement, and I teach them to take ownership over their own lives.
